We got an email update from our builder that the construction of our home has began, which is so exciting and a little scary at the same time! Mike and I did put a lot on our plate at once, with myself starting a new career as a nurse, the wedding, moving out of state, and the purchase of a new home, but why not get it all over with at once, and be able to relax a little bit in 2009? 2008 has been a great year for us so far, a little stressful (to say the least), and there is so much more to look forward to this year :o)
Our invitations are all mailed out, whew! Thank goodness thats over. Seriously, they took SO long to finish, but the end result was so worth it, and we have recieved soo many nice compliments on them. Michael checks the mail daily, he is more excited about the RSVP's than I am! I think he takes them all out and recounts them every day. We also got our first wedding gift in the mail signed from "boot camp mom and dad" (aka Randy and Sarita). For those of you who dont know who Randy and Sarita are, the way they have changed our lives cant even begin to be described in one paragraph, so we will have to explain in depth later. They run a bootcamp called 805 bootcamp in Simi Valley, and are 2 of the most amazing people we have ever met and we are so lucky to have them in our lives!
The wedding is 8 weeks from today, yikes!!! It seemed like yesterday we had over 2 years until the wedding. Michael and I went back and forth with so many options, venues to have the wedding, we considered going out of state, out of the country even, possibly a destination wedding, but once we saw the venue we are getting married, we knew it was the one. We both fell in love with it equally, and could not imagine having it anywhere else. Everything is finally coming together, and now its just tying up loose ends and waiting for the next 8 weeks to fly by!
Thats it for now, today is a wedding list day, we have way too many things left to check off, and not enough hours in the day to do it!
